By default decision, Jessica Yaniv Simpson has won a claim against Expedia Canada for $5,000 through the BC Civil Resolution Tribunal. It is unclear exactly what Yaniv’s claim is for, but Expedia was negligent in responding and Yaniv met the criteria for a default judgement and was awarded his requested amount, which he states if for termination of self-employment contract without cause.

You can read the full decision here. MeowMix has been watching CRT decisions since he was advised to go there several weeks ago.
There is still time for Expedia to file what amounts to an appeal/extension, based on the 11th clause in the decision. I would expect this to happen.

Update: Expedia can request the decision be cancelled. They just need to fill this form out. MeowMix’s legal expert suspects Expedia will say the service was deficient and provide evidence to support that. Yaniv has improperly served parties in the past.
Yaniv also faces the problem of collecting the $5,000. The CRT doesn’t hand it over to him. He has to collect and he must handle that himself without CRT support. He can file for a Small Claims Court judgment, which is what I expect to see next.

After all this, perhaps it’s better to say Yaniv has been awarded $5,000 but has not yet collected it, and there is a very strong chance that Expedia will have it overturned and this will be another loss for serial loser Jon Yaniv.

THIS IS SOME FUCKING BULLSHIT
*sry for swears*
BUT STILL
wha..what how ?!
As pathetic as this is, Jonny boy getting the cash, the good thing is it won’t be long until he has to give it all back for the various lawsuits he won’t lose, and it’ll make it that much better to watch. Now he thinks he’s $5000 richer, but not when he owes more than that!
This is standard operating procedure for Jonny. Sue, then go for a default judgement. Sometimes he doesn’t even wait for the deadline to pass before he tries to manipulate the court. Remember he got put in his place by a very annoyed judge at the Strata trial over filing for a default judgement too soon. He has figured out that if he keeps the amounts in his nuisance suits less than what it would cost the corporations in lawyers fees to deal with it, he will be successful in getting the go away money. Everyone in BC has figured that out. Hence them basically saying to Jonny See you in court as caused him to start backing down especially when they ask for costs. Time for national & international companies to learn from their provincial counterparts.
Lets hope it thinks its rich and starts buying shit on credit just to realize it wont get the money.
This slug has a 540 credit rating meaning no mainstream lender will extend him financing
Fuck Jon and fuck his non-win.
Maybe we should start flooding trustednerd and jtknowsit with frivolous claims for lack of performance.
You know what’s funnier than a loss? A loss that looked like a win at first. He will have such a fucking tantrum if the $5K is removed from his grubby, stubby shit encrusted fingers before he gets a chance to collect.
I bet the fat fuckers out spending it already!
Hope he feeds his pussay I mean puppy well.
I got a decision for $5000 once from a court but the other party did everything in their power not to pay me, it’s very easy to do and I can tell you now that fat Jon has zero chance of getting his money, although it’s well worth it watching him go through the motions, on a big high because he thinks he’s going to get 5 grand, the reality of it is though is that he will get nothing and the decision will be overturned, courts always err on the side of caution and will give the other side a fair chance to file a response and fight it in court. You can guarantee that Yaniv didn’t serve the papers on the other party and then filed a notice claiming he did. He may in fact get in legal trouble for doing this but one thing is for sure, he will not collect $5000.
